Where I'm staying in June: A traditional Japanese house in a small town 45 minutes south of Nagoya. My private space actually consists of two rooms (bedroom and living) separated by traditional Japanese sliding doors. It's all tatami mat, wonderful woodwork, and very Japanese style with a nice view of the garden. The house is large and has 2 other guest rooms but my area is separate from the others. Since it is low season in this area, there are only guests a couple days/week.
